Coaching
“Reports show that training increases effectiveness by 28% and training followed by coaching increases effectiveness by 88%.” [1]
Coaching is a way to help people and companies focus on achieving results more quickly. It provides an opportunity to focus on and work toward personal, professional, or corporate goals by exploring ideas with a trusted and unbiased thinking partner.
Coaching is not Counseling or Therapy
Coaching does not dwell in the past but deals with where you are at today and where you want to be in the future. You take the action steps, and you are responsible for your personal success.
- inspire you
- give you new insights and approaches
- assist and encourage you
- be a sounding board
- give objective feedback
- teach
- help you develop an action plan
- hold you accountable
You lead, not the coach!
With your coach’s guidance and encouragement, your self-esteem and self-confidence will soar, and you will succeed more quickly. Coaches use techniques, personal experience, expertise, and encouragement to help you discover limiting beliefs and behaviors.
“Coaching is currently the most effective tool for professional development and is now used by people of all levels of an organization to attain their goals.”[2]
